Q. What are the requirements for using HUE™ on my computer?

A. HUE requires the following:

  • Windows 2000 / XP / Vista OR Mac OS 10.4 or above
  • Intel Pentium III 800 or above
  • 128 MB RAM (256 MB RAM recommended)
  • 200 MB free hard drive space
  • 16 bit color display adapter (800×600 24bit color recommended)
  • CD ROM Drive with 4 times speed
  • Available 1.1 or 2.0 USB port (USB2.0 port required for megapixel image capture)
  • Compatible Sound Card and Speakers

*Functional Support: When using a Mac operating system some functions may not be supported, such as YUY2 format, interpolation, special effects, face tracking and digital zoom features.

 

 

Q. Where can I get the software for HUE™?

A. Every HUE™ comes with a CD of installation software. Updated software may be downloaded from the HUE™ website located here.

 

 

Q. What is the program AMCAP?

A. AMCAP is a program installed with HUE™. You may use it to take still pictures or record video using HUE™. AMCAP is not required to use HUE™. It may be uninstalled or deleted without affecting HUE™. To remove the software from your system:

  1. Delete the AMCAP shortcut from your desktop.
  2. Go to your Windows install drive (Drive C: by default) and
    delete the program called amcap.exe in the Windows folder.

 

 

Q. Does HUE™ support regular video conferencing or picture editing software?

A. HUE™ works with a wide range of video conferencing and picture editing software. Any software that is deigned to work with a USB camera should work using HUE™ as its video input source.

 

 

Q. Can I take still pictures with HUE™?

A. HUE™ supports taking still pictures. The button on the back of the camera will launch the still picture function if the camera is in use. HUE™ does not support taking pictures when not plugged into a computer and does not have internal storage memory to save images.

Q. How do I install HUE™ on my system?

A. Before connecting your HUE™, insert the Install CD into your computer. Follow the Installshield Wizard. After you have completed installing the camera software, connect HUE™ to an available USB port on your computer and your ready to go. IMPORTANT: If a FOUND NEW HARDWARE window appears, select “No, not at this time,” click next, select “Install the software automatically,” click next and finish.

Q. Do I have to use the base when connecting HUE™ to my computer?

A. HUE™ may be used with or without its accompanying USB base and can be plugged directly into a USB port on your computer. The base is simply an easy way to have HUE™ stand upright on its own on a desktop or other flat surface.

 

 

Q. My preview image looks blurry. How do I fix it?

A. Turn the focusing ring on the lens until the picture appears focused.

 

 

What is Cliquemart’s return policy?

A. Purchases can be returned or if you believe that the product you received is defective. You must first obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) number before returning the product(s). To obtain an RMA please log into your account, go to your order history, pull up your order and fill out the RMA request form located at the bottom of the page. Products shipped back to Clique without a Return Merchandise Authorization (’RMA’) number will be rejected and returned back at Customer’s expense. Please read this return policy:

  • Customers must inspect all goods upon receipt and notify Clique within 7 calendar days of receiving the product if any products are missing or damaged.
  • All return requests must happen within 30 days from the date of receipt.
  • A 15% restocking fee may apply to all returns for refund, and non-defective items shipped back to Clique.
  • If your return is tested and found to be in working order the items will be re-stocked. We will then notify you that your RMA has been processed and a credit posted to the original credit card used at the time of sale.
  • All direct replacements are limited to product availability. If an exact replacement for a returned item is not available, a credit will be issued.
  • Shipping charges are non refundable.
  • Customer agrees to bear all shipping charges and all risk of loss for the return product during shipment. Clique is NOT responsible for any packages lost or products damaged during transit by the shipping company. Damaged items are not eligible for warranty or money back guarantee.
  • Use only reputable carriers capable of providing proof of delivery and insurance for the entire value of the shipment.
  • All returned products will be 100% complete, in re-saleable condition, and will include the original packaging material, manuals, blank warranty cards, and other accessories provided by the manufacturer. If any component of the returned product is missing Clique will reject the entire return.
  • Products must be returned within 14 days from the issuing date of the RMA number. All RMA items returned to our warehouse after 14 days from the issuing date of the RMA will be refused and shipped back at customer’s expense.

 

 

Q. My HUE™ feels warm?

A. HUE™ is a powered USB 2.0 device and draws its power from your computer’s USB port. Under heavy use HUE™ can sometimes become warm due to the increase in power required to capture images at high resolution. HUE™ should never get hot enough to actually cause harm by touching it while in use.
